"yourtown" Trainees Graduate

There were smiles for miles today at the QMP Moto Cafe as the "yourtown" Skilling Queenslanders For Work team officially graduated from their Queensland Moto Park Work Skills Traineeship.

Scenic Rim Regional Council Mayor and Chairman of the SEQ Regional Recreational Facilities board Cr Greg Christensen, MQ President Lisa Fox, yourtown Head of Client Services
Brendan Bourke and Regional Manager Sarai Tuuga were all on hand to wish the group of seven yourtown trainees a warm and sincere congratulations.

MQ GM Kim Rowcliffe described the program as "a fantastic win-win situation, both for the park and the community", as the team walked away with valuable work experience across a wide variety of areas.

Of the seven team members, two have walked straight into employment, one into part-time work, and one back into full-time study.

The team posed in front of their most recent and visible accomplishment at the park - the brand new QMP fire pit, complete with block barbecue, landscaping and surrounding log seating.

Great work team!
